The City and County of Honolulu recruited R.M. Towill Corporation as the Design Consultant for Honouliuli Wastewater Treatment Plant – Secondary Treatment Phase IB. This $267 million project included designing 37 mgd step-feed activated sludge aeration basins, six 140′ diameter secondary clarifiers, a secondary process pump station, a secondary blower building, and emergency generators. These new upgrades will assist in better serving the communities in Halawa to Makakilo.
