RMTC is providing professional services to assist the City and County of Honolulu with the initial planning phase of development of guidelines to address and mitigate the anticipated effects of climate change for capital improvement projects in accordance with Action 14 – Establish Future Conditions Climate Resilience Design Guidelines of the 2019 Oahu Resilience Strategy, and consistent with the Mayor’s Directive No. 18-2, City and County of Honolulu Actions to Address Climate Change and Sea Level Rise. The initial scoped tasks are designed to prepare a background document and basis for preparation document for the Climate Change Design Guidelines, a climate change exposure screening tool, and a climate change planning and design checklist for implementation prior to the preparation of the Climate Change Design Guidelines in later phases.
